This is a requirement before a taxi license can be granted as taxi drivers can come in contact with those considered vulnerable.

Complete a National Police Check

This step ensures you’re eligible to work in a public-facing role and maintain the trust of the community.

Attend a One-Day Training Course (held in Burnie)

This free training session will equip you with everything you need to start driving – from understanding regulations and customer service expectations to how to use the taxi equipment. Once completed, you’ll be ready to hit the road with confidence and start earning.
